L7t4WA. Fear the Walking Dead Answers How Madison Is Alive Warning this story contains spoilers for Sunday's "Gone" episode of Fear the Walking Dead. Madison Clark is still breathing. The mother of Nick Frank Dillane and Alicia Clark Alycia Debnam-Carey sacrificed herself to save her kids and their friends, leading a walker horde inside a baseball stadium before burning it down in Fear's Season 4 midseason finale. Titled "No One's Gone" after her last words, Madison's message to her children was a hopeful one "I was afraid to lose this place because I thought you needed it to stay who you are right now, but you know it. No one's gone until they're gone." In Sunday's "Gone" season finale, Morgan Jones Lennie James learns Madison Kim Dickens is alive, but Nick and Alicia's mother is gone. No longer the woman who inspired her kids in death, flashbacks reveal how Madison survived â and why she never went looking for her children. A wheezing and weak Madison shuffles into a darkened interrogation room, where a distorted voice over intercom asks if she's "willing to do what needs to be done, to get the thing we know you want." That means collecting children â called "eggs" â and dropping them off for pickup at the "birdhouse," a dock on the Louisana coastline. When Madison steals Morgan's daughter, Baby Mo Avaya White, she tells him she's "rescuing" â not stealing â children from "parents who think they can give their kids what they need." In the past, Madison inhales from a portable oxygen tank and agrees to the voice's offer. "The only reason you're still breathing is because of us. What's your name?" the voice asks. "Madison," she answers. "Not anymore," the intercom voice responds. "We will tell you who you're going to be from now on." In the present, Morgan learns who Madison is now a collector for the rumored safe place Alicia and the Texas survivors spent the season searching for to escape the fallout of nuclear destruction. Classified documents discovered in a bunker revealed to be a government contingency plan titled " Rebuilding Our Country's Future," but its location died with Senator Elias Vazquez Jared Gibson. is "the best shot our kids have for a future," Madison tells Morgan. "What they're building is different." At there are no attachments or connections, and unlike Morgan, Madison doesn't want to find her children. In the past, "You've rescued more children than any other collector. We'll help you find yours now," the intercom voice says. "No," Madison tells her rescuers. "I don't want to find them." When Morgan reveals Madison's children are gone, he says Alicia could still be out there. Even if Alicia is alive, Madison confesses, "I don't want to find her." "I was willing to die at the stadium so my kids could see what I was building was worth fighting for," Madison tells Morgan. "But if they knew what I was doing to find them... played me from the start. Made me do things I didn't want to, so when I could finally get them back, I'd say no." Asked why she's still taking kids away from their parents for Madison reveals why she's still protecting her kids. If she walked away from "They'd find Nick and Alicia and make them do what I wouldn't anymore. But I don't have to worry about that now." Madison agrees to help Morgan get Mo back from telling him, "I'm gone, but you're not." Because the only way to get to is to bring them another child, Morgan poses as a collector with information about children and a pregnant woman at sea on rafts. Aboard a dinghy, guards transport Madison and Morgan towards a large ship. "Where the hell are we going? Where is a blindfolded Morgan asks. "Been meaning to tell you," Madison answers. "I don't know." 0commentsMadison and Morgan will return in Season 8 of Fear the Walking Dead. Follow CameronBonomolo on Twitter & NewsOfTheDead for TWD Universe coverage all season long.

'Fear the Walking Dead' Kim Dickens Discusses Her Return as Madison Clark 'Fear the Walking Dead' Showrunners on Madison's Return, PADRE and Much More Alycia Debnam-Carey Is Leaving 'Fear The Walking Dead'... For Now 'Fear the Walking Dead' Cast, EPs Tease Kim Dickens' Return One of the biggest mistakes in The Walking Dead history is about to be corrected Kim Dickens will return as Madison Clark in the second half of Fear the Walking Deads seventh season, as just announced on Talking Dead. And not only that, sheâll continue as a series regular in the also just announced eighth season of the series. âIf there were a Mt. Deadmore, Kim Dickensâ face would be on it. Madison Clark is a foundational character to TWDU â heroic, complex, an everyperson who becomes a warrior and then a force of benevolence,â Scott M. Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, said via a statement provided to Decider. âKim Dickensâ raw talent, strength, and brilliance will electrify TWDU once more and we couldnât be luckier to have her back.â For those not in the know, Madison Clark was one of the original, main cast-members of Fear the Walking Dead when the show first premiered in 2015. Over the course of four seasons, she grew to become one of the most complicated, interesting and beloved characters in the extended Walking Dead universe, before she was shockingly killed off halfway through Season 4. In the midseason finale, the now presciently named âNo Oneâs Goneâ, Madison lured an enormous herd of zombies into the baseball stadium she had built up with her family and fellow group members. She seemingly died heroically, locking herself in the stadium and lighting the herd on fire with a flare, even saying goodbye to her children over the radio. âŠBut since Madisonâs body was never found, fans have persistently wondered if she somehow might have survived these impossible circumstances. Years have passed on the show, and theyâve hinted before that the character might return in some form. But now we know that not only will Madison be back, sheâll be back in a big, big way; first appearing during the second half of Season 7, before returning as a series regular in Season 8. The question, though, and spoilers for tonightâs mid-season finale past this point is she too late? In the episode, titled âPADREâ, Madisonâs daughter Alicia Alycia Debnam-Carey finally returned, only to reveal that she had to amputate her own arm after being bitten by a zombie. Not only that, but sheâs walking around with the skeletal remains of her arm attached to her, and believes that the zombie infection is still raging inside her, despite the bite happening months earlier. And even beyond that, the big cliffhanger at the end of the episode was that Strand Colman Domingo and Alicia are going to war. That, in fact, might be the key to why it was the right time to bring Madison back. Not only is she Aliciaâs mother, sheâs also one of the only characters who was able to command loyalty from the formerly slippery, now full-on villainous Strand. Regardless, weâll have a little while to wait to find out how Madison may have survived, why sheâs returning now, and when, exactly sheâll return. The second half of the season will continue on Sunday, April 17, 2022 on AMC, and a week earlier on AMC+ on April 10, 2022. Check out a synopsis for the second half of the season below, as well as a Madison free teaser for the episodes, at the top of this very article In the second half of Season 7, months have passed after the nuclear blast and the only one thriving is Victor Strand Colman Domingo.
